Herman Miller® Aeron® Office Chair
Designed by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick for Herman Miller®
Begin with what a work chair ought to do for a person. The chair needs to be instructed by your body in what is comfortable, not the other way around. Add designers who are serious about function, wellness and the Herman Miller® ideals of sustainability: You have the Aeron®. It is the icon we all recognize as the epitome of best design and most desirable work chair.Herman Miller Aeron is one of the best reviewed chairs we’ve ever carried. It’s one of the most well-known, well-received, chairs in history. It sits inside the Museum of Modern Art, not behind a desk, but on display as a part of their Permanent Collection. But this chair doesn’t get by on looks alone. The Aeron is both ergonomic and environmentally friendly. The chair is versatile and can adapt to all shapes and sizes and comes in a variety of its own.
The Aeron incorporates top-level functionality and balanced body support with the adaptability for all work needs and motions. By using specifically designed suspension material called Pellicle®, it has a ‘no pressure’ seating area and backrest. No pressure equates to better blood circulation, lower blood pressure, clarity of mind, creativity and comfort. Probably the favorite feature of the Aeron is the Kinemat® Tilt mechanism, which enhances your ability to pivot forward and backward, providing your spine, pelvis, legs and joints proper alignment, comfort; free from bodily stress and strain. Offered in Graphite or Titanium color frames, 3 pellicle styles of assorted muted color variations and Graphite, Titanium or Polished Aluminum bases. Feel and work better.
Three Sizes for a Better Fit
The Aeron comes in 3 sizes to adjust and accommodate just about any size or weight.
When it comes to lumbar support and posture, the Aeron comes with a few options. The revolutionary PostureFit® mechanism supports the way your pelvis tilts naturally forward, helping your spine stays aligned and helping you avoid back pain. The adjustable Lumbar Support pad cradles your lower back in all the right places. Slide it up or down to fit to the natural curve of your spine. The Pellicle suspension fits to your body, diminishes pressure points, and offers unparalleled support.
Speaking of the Pellicle suspension, this amazing and breathable material allows heat to dissipate avoiding body-heat build-up creating a cool seat and back making you more comfortable along the way.
You and Your Chair, in Perfect Harmony
The Aeron chair’s patented Kinematic tilt mechanism allows you to move freely and naturally. When you move, so does the Aeron. Your back, neck, hips, shoulders, knees and ankles all will pivot effortlessly. Your body thinks it and the Aeron responds accordingly.
The shape and angle of the wide and high contoured back helps alleviate pressure on your lower spine. For more comfortable support, the armrests slope ever so slightly downward in the back giving you a more natural resting position. The front edge carries a “waterfall” shape and design to relieve pressure from your thighs and help keep blood circulating throughout the body.
Adjust Your Aeron
With up to nine different adjustments at your fingertips, you can adjust the Aeron just the way you like it.
Often imitated, never duplicated. There’s a reason the Aeron chair has been copied so many times; it’s beautiful. Despite its distinctive design and stand out looks, the chair fits in wherever you work. Put it in your den or your dorm, your high-tech office or your home office. Anywhere you want it, that’s where it will fit. The three different Pellicle weaves (Classic, Waves, and Tuxedo) combined with a wide range of neutral colors and base finish options, help to ensure that you can work it into your surrounding décor.
All Colors Come with Green
Built from the ground up with Green on the mind, more than 50% of each chair is made of recycled materials and the chair itself is 94% recyclable.
